NALDIC* has uploaded to YouTube their 3-minute TeachMeet-style presentations delivered at their annual conference in Leicester in November 2014. I myself delivered one of them – on EAL Knowledge Framework and Mode Continuum – a lesson planning tool for both EAL classes and mainstream teachers (who have EAL learners in their subject classes).
Below, I’ve embedded the presentation with the Knowledge Structures / Mode Continuum Lesson Plan Framework – the framework is on slide 2. The presentation was prepared for a different event, but the Framework is the same.
Additionally, I’ve talked about it at another event – Pedagoo Christmas Party in Newcastle in December 2014. You can play back my talk using the player below. The audio explains in some more detail about the use of the Framework and Graphic Organizers. It is hosted at EduTalk at: http://www.edutalk.info/pedagooxmas-kamil-trzebiatowski/ . Some of the teachers at my school have fed back to me about the usefulness of graphic organizers in their mainstream lessons!
And now, watch the remaining 3-minute presentations from NALDIC’s 2014 Conference delivered by really great EAL professionals from across the country!
